Technology giant Intel Corp. promoted Carol Tate to vice president and chief compliance officer.

Intel confirmed the move after Tate announced her appointment in a post on her LinkedIn account. She had served as acting chief compliance officer at Intel since January, according to her LinkedIn profile. She joined the company in 2016 as associate general counsel and director of ethics and legal compliance.

Tate formerly served as chief ethics and compliance officer of McCarthy Holdings. She held corporate counsel roles with Flex and Motorola Mobility and previously worked as a senior attorney with the Securities and Exchange Commission.
