Kaiser Permanente, the parent company of Kaiser Foundation Health Plan and Hospitals, announced the appointment of Jacqueline Baratian as senior vice president, chief compliance and privacy officer, effective Sept. 11.

She will report directly to the audit and compliance committee’s boards of directors, with administrative reporting to Vanessa Benavides, senior vice president and chief legal officer.

Baratian will be responsible for driving effective compliance with regulatory requirements and policies.

Previously, she served as CCO at Ascension, chief Medicaid compliance officer at Aetna, and CCO at Maxim Healthcare Services. She also served as a senior counsel in the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services’ Office of the Inspector General, according to her LinkedIn profile.
