Business consulting and services company Kroll announced the promotion of General Counsel Edward Forman to chief legal and risk officer, with Deputy General Counsel Christopher Matteson succeeding Forman.

Forman is responsible for managing client work and day-to-day business operations risk. He previously served as general counsel and secretary to the board of directors and as senior vice president and acting general counsel and secretary at BISYS Group, according to his company profile.

Matteson will advise the company on strategies and implementation, manage the global legal function, and oversee the work of outside counsel. Prior to joining Kroll in 2007, he served in inside counsel roles for Solvay, BISYS Group, and Hewlett-Packard and as an associate at law firm Pillsbury Winthrop Shaw Pittman, according to his company profile.
