Energy technology company NOV announced Christy Novak will succeed Scott Duff as vice president, corporate controller and chief accounting officer, effective Nov. 1.

Duff will step down from his current role after nearly 18 years and remain employed as an advisor until his retirement on Feb. 28, 2022.

Novak has worked as a key executive within the company’s finance organization for 16 years. She has served as NOV’s vice president of accounting systems since August 2020. From October 2013 to August 2020, she was the vice president of finance for the company’s rig technologies operating segment. Prior to joining NOV, she spent nearly 10 years in public accounting with Ernst & Young, where she served various audit clients in the manufacturing and energy industries.
