Global bank Santander Holdings USA announced the appointment of Ashwani Aggarwal as chief risk officer.
Aggarwal will report to Santander US CEO Tim Wennes. He joined Santander in 2019 and most recently served as head of risk analytics and chief model risk officer.
In his new role, Aggarwal will oversee and provide strategic direction for the risk management and compliance programs at Santander Holdings USA and the Santander U.S. businesses.
His 20 years of experience includes the role of managing director and chief operating officer, model risk governance and review at JPMorgan Chase. He also held leadership positions in the risk organizations at GE Capital and Standard & Poor’s.
