Social media company Snap filled its vacant chief compliance officer post last month by hiring former Peloton Head of Compliance and Risk Lance Lanciault, a Snap spokesperson confirmed.

Lanciault succeeds Dominic Perella, who announced his departure in February, citing the need for a “time out.”

Previously, Lanciault served as Peloton’s senior vice president and head of compliance and risk for over a year and half.

Before his time at Peloton, Lanciault held the role of senior vice president, chief ethics and compliance officer of Walmart’s U.S. eCommerce and Technology division. He oversaw regulatory compliance and trust-and-safety professionals, according to his LinkedIn profile.

He also previously served as chief legal officer and secretary at StubHub and associate general counsel at General Electric Company.
