Softline Group, a global provider of IT solutions and services, has appointed Gareth Tipton as global chief compliance officer responsible for leading the ethics and compliance team across the company.
As global chief compliance officer, Tipton will based out of the company’s London office and “will work to drive and embed an ethical and compliant culture in Softline’s operations and management wherever it operates around the world,” the company said. “Additionally, Gareth will provide strategic regulatory guidance and advice to the Executive team and relevant stakeholders and serve as the main point of contact for applicable regulatory authorities.”
With over 20 years’ experience in IT and telecommunications, Tipton joins Softline Group after holding various positions at telecommunications company BT from 2004-20. Most recently, he served seven years as group director, ethics, compliance and governance.
