Sony Pictures Entertainment (SPE) announced Jill Ratner was named executive vice president and general counsel, effective May 28.

In this role, Ratner will oversee all SPE’s legal functions, compliance and labor relations, SPE music affairs, government/external affairs, and corporate social responsibility teams.

Ratner will report to Chairman Tony Vinciquerra.

She served as deputy general counsel at the Walt Disney Company since 2019. Prior to that, she was at 21st Century Fox from 2004 to 2019, where she most recently served as executive vice president and deputy general counsel. Before that, she served as domestic counsel at the Motion Picture Association.
