Software-as-a-service company Sprinklr announced the promotion of Deputy General Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer Jacob Scott to general counsel and corporate secretary.

Scott will succeed Daniel Haley in the role, effective March 16, after Haley notified the company his intent to resign from his position to pursue another opportunity. Scott will report directly to Founder and Chief Executive Ragy Thomas.

With more than a decade of experience in legal departments, Scott previously served as assistant general counsel, associate general counsel, and senior corporate counsel with AthenaHealth during a six-year tenure, according to his LinkedIn profile.

Before Athena, he worked as an associate for law firm Ropes & Gray for five years.
