French-American oil and gas company TechnipFMC promoted Chief Compliance Officer Cristina Aalders to executive vice president, chief legal officer and secretary, according to a public filing.

She succeeds Victoria Lazar, who will depart the company Aug. 31.

With more than 15 years of legal experience, Aalders previously held roles of increasing responsibility with TechnipFMC, including senior legal counsel, legal director of subsea commercial and surface Americas, and vice president legal - surface technologies, before ascending to CCO in 2021, according to her LinkedIn profile.

She previously served as senior legal counsel for FMC and Technip before their merger, counsel at Chevron, and associate attorney at law firm Stockwell, Sievert, Viccellio, Clements & Shaddock.
