Compliance solutions provider Workiva announced the company’s board of directors has named Brandon Ziegler as senior vice president and general counsel, effective March 16. Ziegler will report to CEO Marty Vanderploeg.

Ziegler was previously senior vice president, deputy general counsel and assistant corporate secretary at Medidata Solutions, a technology and data platform for life sciences.

Ziegler succeeds Troy Calkins, executive vice president, chief legal and administrative officer and corporate secretary, who plans to retire from his role as a Workiva executive May 31.
