Meta says it is no longer under investigation by the U.S. Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB), the latest instance of the agency scaling back enforcement under President Donald Trump.
In a form filed with the SEC on Sept. 30, Meta said the CFPB’s probe into the company’s advertising for financial products and services had been closed as of Sept. 25. There was no reason given.
