Media Company Scripps Networks Interactive has named David Arroyo to the newly established position of chief ethics and compliance officer.

In this role, Arroyo will guide the company’s adherence to all applicable laws and regulations worldwide, including oversight of the company’s Code of Ethics, policies and reporting tools. He also will continue to supervise the internal legal teams that provide support for litigation, intellectual property, data security and privacy, labor and employment, ratings research and bankruptcy.

Arroyo, who joined Scripps Networks Interactive in 2004, previously served as senior vice president, legal affairs and internal audit. Before joining Scripps Networks Interactive, Arroyo practiced as a trial lawyer at law firm Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher.

Concurrently, the company elevated Andy Broyles to senior vice president, internal audit. He was previously vice president. Timon Marshall was also named senior vice president, head of legal, international. He formerly served as head of legal for the company’s operations in Latin America.
