Law firm Neal, Gerber & Eisenberg has added David DeMuro as senior counsel in the firm’s securities litigation and regulatory practice. DeMuro joins Neal Gerber Eisenberg after serving more than 35 years in leadership roles at American International Group and Lehman Brothers, as well as the Securities and Exchange Commission.

During his 25-year tenure at Lehman Brothers, DeMuro served as managing director and head of global compliance and regulation. He also served more than a year as senior counsel with O’Melveny & Myers, and three years as deputy general counsel for regulatory and government affairs at AIG.

Prior to joining Lehman Brothers, DeMuro worked for 10 years with the SEC's Enforcement Division, and in its Office of General Counsel. He also served as a member of the executive committee of the Securities Industry and Financial Markets Association’s (SIFMA) Compliance & Legal Society, serving as its president from 2003 to 2004.
