Despite AI hype, compliance remains hesitant adopter

AI use

Most compliance professionals say their teams are not using artificial intelligence (AI) to assist with compliance obligations, according to Compliance Week’s “Inside the Mind of the CCO” survey.

Asked in what areas they’re using AI, 59 percent of respondents said they aren’t. The survey received 322 total responses.

Of the 41 percent of respondents who said their compliance departments are relying on AI, the most popular use cases included improving policies and procedures (19 percent), monitoring third parties and communications (12 percent each), and keeping pace with regulatory change (11 percent). More than one response was permitted.
