An internal investigation that Teva Pharmaceutical Industries began last year into possible violations of the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act has now expanded into eastern Europe and Russia, the company has stated in a filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.
Teva’s investigation, with assistance from independent counsel, began in 2012 after the Israel-based company received subpoenas and informal document requests from the SEC and the Department of Justice in connection with possible FCPA violations in certain countries.
