United Online, an online provider of consumer products and services, appointed Mark Harrington general counsel, effective this month.

A veteran in the legal space, Harrington joins United Online from Guidance Software, a provider of software solutions for digital investigations, having joined the company in 2004 and most recently serving as general counsel and corporate secretary.
