Law firm Goodwin Procter has appointed Michael Bromwich as partner in its litigation department. He will be a member of the firm’s securities litigation and white collar defense group, where he will focus on corporate internal investigations, compliance, monitoring and white-collar criminal defense.
Bromwich joins Goodwin from the U.S. Department of the Interior, where he was director of the Bureau of Ocean Energy Management, Regulation & Enforcement (BOEMRE), in the midst of the BP oil spill. Prior to the BOEMRE, he was a partner and chair of the internal investigations, compliance and monitoring practice group at law firm Fried Frank where he focused on conducting internal investigations for companies, audit committees, special committees, and special litigation committees, and representing both companies and individuals in white-collar criminal investigations.
