Mike Koenig explained how he helped rebuild JBS Foods’ compliance department following Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA) settlements with the Department of Justice (DOJ) and Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) as part of a fireside chat at Compliance Week’s National Conference in Washington, D.C.
Koenig, chief ethics and compliance officer at the Brazil-based food processing giant, joined the company in August 2021 in the midst of its self-disclosure obligations. Koenig brought a wealth of experience to the business, having served as a trial attorney and federal prosecutor with the DOJ for more than two decades.
