The U.K. government has published an AI Risk Management Toolkit for “multidisciplinary teams” who work with AI implementations, procurement, or delivery. At a time when AI experts are debating the potentially existential risks that the technology could create, the case for robust risk management at all levels is strong and likely to increase.
This guidance is relevant to all jurisdictions and intended for use by a wide range of corporate functions. It specifically targets “legal and compliance professionals, who are responsible for ensuring that AI solutions are operating in alignment with applicable laws, regulations, and organizational policies, including the mitigation of future legal risks as legal and regulatory landscapes evolve.”
