Louis Berger has named Adelle Elia as chief integrity officer, effective April 1. Elia’s predecessor, Tom Nicastro, is stepping down as Louis Berger’s chief compliance and ethics officer after 15 years of service with the company, seven years of which he spent leading the company’s compliance function to shape Louis Berger’s culture of integrity.

Ellen Warwick, former director for enforcement and compliance for the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC), has joined international law firm Buckley Sandler as a senior counsel in the firm’s Washington, D.C. office.

Picking up the pieces of its emissions-cheating scandal, Volkswagen this week appointed Kurt Michels, previously chief compliance officer for the Trucks, Vans, and Buses sector of Daimler, as chief compliance officer of the Volkswagen Group, effective April 1. In this position, he will succeed Frank Fabien, who is joining Wolfsburg AG as speaker of the management board.

The Wall Street Blockchain Alliance (WSBA), a non-profit trade association at the forefront of blockchain adoption in financial markets, has appointed Julio Faura, head of R&D for innovation initiatives at Banco Santander, to its board of directors.

Microsoft appointed Reid Hoffman, co-founder of LinkedIn, to its board of directors, effective immediately. He also will serve on the regulatory and public policy committee.

Scotiabank, Canada’s international bank, has appointed Daniel Moore, currently executive vice president and chief market risk officer, as chief risk officer, effective April 3. Moore will succeed Stephen Hart in this role, who is expected to retire after a career spanning almost 40 years.

Comcast Corporation has promoted Daniel Murdock to senior vice president, chief accounting officer, and controller, effective as of March 1.

Wells Fargo & Company this week announced the appointment of C. Allen Parker as senior executive vice president and general counsel, effective March 27. Parker’s appointment comes at a time when the battered company looks to clean up its toxic corporate culture.

Crawford & Company, a provider of claims management solutions to insurance companies and self-insured entities, has appointed Joseph Blanco as senior vice president and general counsel.
