Compliance Week on Monday announced the hiring of Barbara Boehler as its new Director of Programming. She will play a leading role in planning all live CW events in addition to developing in-depth reports, surveys, and Webinars.

Boehler most recently was a regulatory compliance consultant with Wolters Kluwer, and an adjunct lecturer at both Boston University School of Law and Suffolk University School of Law.

From 2010-2015, she was chief compliance officer for the United States and Hong Kong subsidiaries of Arete Research, a boutique global provider of independent equity research. In that role, she provided compliance support and guidance for its U.K.-based parent and developed and monitored the firm’s ethics and compliance program. Prior to serving as Arete’s global chief compliance officer, she held the role of compliance director at Babson Capital Management, where she provided compliance support and oversight to Babson Capital Securities.

"I am thrilled to join Compliance Week as Director of Programming,” Beohler said. “As a former compliance officer, I am particularly looking forward to working with the team to help continue the tradition of developing cutting edge and industry-leading events and opportunities for compliance officers to learn, network, and grow in the discipline."

Boehler will work with the Compliance Week senior leadership team to program the agenda and recruit speakers for all of the organization’s conferences, including the upcoming CW Europe conference in Amsterdam (Nov. 12-13) and the 2019 annual conference in Washington, D.C. (May 20-22).

“Barbara’s more than 17 years’ legal, compliance, and education experience will allow Compliance Week to continue producing events that resonate with our audience of compliance, audit, legal, and risk executives, as well as help them to manage their ethics and compliance programs more effectively,” said Donna Rice, managing director at Compliance Week. “I look forward to having her on our team.”
