JLL, a professional services and investment management firm, recently named Kathryn Ditmars general counsel for the Americas region, overseeing the U.S. markets businesses.

Ultragenyx Pharmaceutical, a clinical-stage biopharmaceutical company, has appointed Karah Parschauer as general counsel. In this newly created role, she will be responsible for leading the company’s legal, compliance, and corporate governance functions.

Fannie Mae has appointed J. Douglas Watt as chief audit executive, effective July 11. Watt joins Fannie Mae from GE Capital, where he was managing director and audit executive for the Americas.

David Gelfand, formerly the Deputy Assistant Attorney General for Litigation of the Antitrust Division of the Department of Justice, will return to the law firm Cleary Gottlieb Steen & Hamilton as a partner in July.

Today, the SEC announced yet another blockbuster whistleblower award–more than $17 million to a former company employee who the SEC credited with submitting a detailed tip that “substantially advanced the agency’s investigation and ultimate enforcement action.” In the past month alone, five whistleblowers have received a total of more than $26 million.

Platform Specialty Products, a global specialty chemicals company, today announced the appointment of John Capps as general counsel and secretary. He will report directly to Chief Executive Officer Rakesh Sachdev.

Everest Re Group, a Bermuda holding company, announced the election of John Graf to its board of directors, effective last month.

Quantopian, a provider of capital, data, and infrastructure to algorithm authors, has appointed Derek Meisner as general counsel and chief compliance officer. He will advise the company on legal, regulatory, and compliance issues.

Warner Bros. Entertainment has named Roger Willard as chief accounting officer. In this newly created position, Willard will be a key member of the company’s senior finance team, ultimately responsible for all accounting and compliance practices as well as treasury operations of the Studio.
