The U.S. Federal Trade Commission (FTC) finalized its order against General Motors and its OnStar subsidiary over the improper usage of geolocation and driving behavior data of drivers. 

The FTC approved a 20-year consent order settling allegations that GM collected, used, and sold precise geolocation and driving behavior data from millions of vehicles without clear, affirmative consent from consumers.
