As head of compliance at medical equipment manufacturer Masimo, Mary Shirley is always looking for innovative ways to spur conversation, sharing, and crowdsourcing among compliance professionals. Her workshop at Compliance Week’s National Conference in Washington, D.C., was no different.
The session, titled “Living Your Best Compliance Life–A Workshop for Rising Stars,” included many heavy hitters in the compliance world, one of whom introduced Shirley by encouraging those in attendance to not be afraid to share.
“There’s a lot of wisdom in this room, a lot of perspectives, and a lot of experience,” said Nick Gallo, chief servant and co-chief executive at GRC solutions provider Ethico. “Our greatest asset is each other and learning from each other. Take this opportunity to really engage and share what you might be struggling with.”
