A joint proposal from nine U.S. financial regulators on data standards aim to streamline submissions and ease data sharing among agencies, the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) announced.
After years of regulating within separate silos, the common standards will streamline submissions for stakeholders and allow agencies to easily share that data across multiple regulators, the SEC said in a press release Friday.
