$1.3 billion manufacturing and logistics services company, Barnes Group, has appointed Marian Acker to the position of vice president and controller, effective Jan. 1, 2010.

Acker will also assume the role of chief accounting officer. She’ll replace Francis Boyle, who will be retiring from that role on Feb. 28, 2010.
