XL Capital Ltd., a $9.1 billion provider of insurance and reinsurance coverage, recently appointed Jacob Rosengarten its new executive vice president and chief enterprise risk officer of the XL group of companies. During his 30-year career, Rosengarten has held several leadership roles in risk management, including managing director of risk management and analytics for Goldman Sachs Asset Management for the past 10 years.
Among other roles, Rosengarten will be responsible for “ensuring the efficient identification, assessment, monitoring, and reporting of key risks across the XL group.” Reporting directly to XL’s CEO, Rosengarten will chair an Enterprise Risk Committee and will provide information to the firm’s board with respect to enterprise risk management policies and procedures.
