Michael Murray, former Yahoo senior vice president and chief accounting officer, has joined Hitachi Global Storage Technologies, a subsidiary of $102 billion electronics company Hitachi, as chief financial officer. He will be based at the company’s headquarters in San Jose, Calif.

As Compliance Week previously reported, Murray left Yahoo on Sept. 30. He had been with the Sunnyvale, Calif.-based Internet search giant since 2004.
