MDU Resources Group has named Nicole Kivisto vice president, controller, and chief accounting officer. The company also announced the appointments of Douglass Mahowald as treasurer and assistant secretary, and Doran Schwartz as vice president and chief financial officer. All positions are effective Feb. 17.

Kivisto has been MDU Resources’ controller since 2005. She joined the corporation in 1995 and has held a number of positions of increasing responsibility.
