$1.6 billion Invacare, a home medical equipment company, has named Anthony LaPlaca senior vice president and general counsel. He replaces Dale Laporte, who has retired.

LaPlaca previously worked at Bendix Commercial Vehicle Systems LLC, a member of the Knorr-Bremse group, where he served as vice president and general counsel for more than six years. Prior to that, he was vice president and general counsel at Honeywell Transportation & Power Systems.
