$4 billion reinsurer PartnerRe has named Jerome Carre as group risk management director, effective Jan. 1, 2010. He currently is chief risk officer for Paris Re, the European reinsurer recently acquired by PartnerRe.

Carre, who will report to the CEO Patrick Thiele, will be responsible for coordinating the company’s risk-management practices at the group level, including aggregation and reporting risk exposure and facilitating execution of the company’s risk-management framework.
