Jonathan Drimmer has joined the global law firm Paul Hastings as a partner in the investigations and white-collar defense practice, based in the firm’s Washington D.C. office, the law firm has announced.

Drimmer joins Paul Hastings from gold mining company Barrick Gold, where he was deputy general counsel and chief compliance officer. Prior to Barrick Gold, Drimmer was deputy director of the Office of Special Investigations in the Department of Justice’s Criminal Division.

Drimmer is a global leader in compliance, anti-corruption, and cross-border investigations and disputes, particularly in the natural resources sector. His broad expertise in the extractive industries complements the firm’s strength in the energy; aerospace and defense; financial services; and life sciences sectors.
