Coal producer Alliance Resource Partners announced Steven Schnitzer will join as senior vice president, general counsel and secretary of Alliance Resource Management GP.

Schnitzer previously served as senior vice president, general counsel and secretary of the general partner of both Arc Logistics Partners and Lightfoot Capital Partners.

He served as private energy - general counsel and managing director of Tortoise Capital Advisors and in a similar capacity on behalf of Tortoise Capital’s affiliate, Ecofin Investments.
