Berkshire Hills Bancorp, the parent company of Berkshire Bank, announced the appointment of Ashlee Flores as executive vice president and chief compliance officer.

Flores will succeed Chief Compliance Officer Deborah Stephenson, who is departing the bank for another opportunity, effective Sept. 30.

With more than 15 years of experience, Flores will oversee all aspects of the compliance risk management program, including compliance with the Bank Secrecy Act, Community Reinvestment Act, and consumer protection laws and regulations, and the security and fraud investigations functions. She will report to Chief Risk Officer Greg Lindenmuth.

Flores brings expertise in the financial industry, risk management, and compliance, most recently serving as senior vice president of compliance, where she oversaw Berkshire Bank’s compliance program.

Prior to joining Berkshire Bank, she was a compliance officer at Hampden Bank in Springfield, Mass., where she managed the compliance and audit program.
