Cryptocurrency exchange platform Binance.US has added Sidney Majalya to its leadership team as its first chief risk officer.

In this new role, Majalya will report to Binance.US CEO Brian Shroder.

Majalya most recently served as vice president, legal and chief compliance officer at Intel Corp. There, he was responsible for guiding the company’s ethics program and served as co-chair for Intel’s Ethics & Compliance Oversight Committee, which oversees Intel’s overall compliance risk.

Prior to joining Intel, Majalya served as head of investigations, legal compliance and global compliance at Uber Technologies and managed teams focused on legal, operational, and global trade compliance. He also worked as senior compliance counsel at Oracle, where he advised on a wide range of corporate compliance matters.
