CIFC Asset Management, an alternative credit specialist, announced the appointment of Lily Wicker as managing director, chief compliance officer and associate general counsel.

Wicker will report to Asha Richards, who was promoted from deputy general counsel to general counsel.

Wicker joins the firm after serving in compliance roles at Sound Point Capital Management for more than three years. She brings more than 15 years of compliance and legal experience to the firm, including stints at GoldenTree Asset Management, Permal Group, and Brookfield Investment Management.

Richards has nearly 20 years of experience in asset management. She is chairperson of CIFC’s diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) committee and an environmental, social, and governance (ESG) committee member.

Previously, she served as general counsel of Brookfield Asset Management’s private funds group and in legal roles at law firms Kirkland & Ellis and Shearman & Sterling.
