Diamond company De Beers Group announced Tom Johnson as general counsel, effective Jan. 1.

Johnson is currently head of legal for De Beers. He will join the company’s executive committee.

He previously held senior legal roles at Element 6 and Rexam and worked as a corporate finance associate at Allen & Overy.
