Global investment management firm Marathon Asset Management announced several changes in leadership, including new duties for its chief compliance officer.

Christine Chartouni has added the responsibilities of chief legal officer to her CCO mandate. Chartouni, who is also a member of Marathon’s executive committee, has been with the company since 2004 after working as an attorney at Schulte Roth & Zabel.

Meanwhile, Jamie Raboy, currently chief risk officer and a founding member of Marathon, has been given the additional title of chief operating officer. Raboy will continue to oversee all risk functions, in addition to the finance, accounting, and technology functions of the firm.

Andrew Rabinowitz, president and COO, will depart from the company in September to pursue an opportunity outside of the industry. Rabinowitz will remain on Marathon’s governance committee as a senior consultant.
