Orion Engineered Carbons, a worldwide supplier of specialty and high-performance carbon black, announced it has appointed Bob Hrivnak as chief accounting officer.

Hrivnak has over 30 years of experience as a financial executive with a long track record in leading corporate finance and accounting control functions of public companies. “He brings a comprehensive understanding of financial operations, accounting functions and complex accounting treatments, along with deep experience with U.S. GAAP, SEC reporting, regulatory compliance and provisions of Sarbanes-Oxley,” said Chief Financial Officer Lorin Crenshaw in a press release.

Hrivnak, who started his career as an auditor with KPMG, joins the company from paper products manufacturer Clearwater Paper, where he served as CFO and chief accounting officer. Prior to Clearwater, he served as chief accounting officer of Itron, a provider of technology and services to public utilities and municipalities.

Hrivnak will succeed André Schulze Isfort, who has served in the chief accounting officer role for Orion for the past nine years. Schulze Isfort will transition his duties to Hrivnak over the next four months.
