Pizza restaurant chain Papa John’s International disclosed the impending departure of Marvin Boakye as its chief people and diversity officer.

Boakye will resign Nov. 4, the company said in a filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission. He will assume a chief human resources officer position with another company.

Boakye joined Papa John’s as its chief people officer in January 2019, according to his LinkedIn profile. He added diversity to his title in November 2019. Previously, he had worked in human resources leadership roles at organizations including Andeavor, Bell MTS, and Goodyear.

Papa John’s said it has begun searching for its next chief people and diversity officer. “The diverse and inclusive culture cultivated over the last three years will continue to be led by a strong executive leadership team, as well as through the Papa John’s company purpose and values,” it said.
