Purple Innovation, a premium mattress company, announced the appointment of Tricia McDermott as chief legal officer, effective Oct. 23.

McDermott will report to Chief Executive Officer Rob DeMartini and oversee all aspects of Purple’s legal operations. She will replace Casey McGarvey, who was the company’s first chief legal officer.

Prior to this, she led the legal team at Shoe Show as its chief legal and risk officer and corporate secretary. She has also worked across multiple companies with brands including Perry Ellis International, Spectrum Brands, and Office Depot.
