Silvergate Capital Corp., a provider of financial infrastructure to the digital asset industry, announced the promotion of Kate Fraher to chief risk officer for the company and its subsidiary bank.

Fraher, who brings more than 20 years of banking experience in roles with increasing responsibility, will report to Silvergate Chief Executive Alan Lane.

Her achievements include designing and implementing scalable compliance and risk management programs for commercial and consumer banks. Fraher joined Silvergate in 2006 and has held several executive roles at the company, including operations, Bank Secrecy Act, and compliance and risk management functions.

The company also announced the promotion of Ben Reynolds to president.
