Verily appoints general counsel

O’Donnell brings two decades of experience in legal and compliance in the healthcare industry to the role, previously serving as the first chief compliance officer at McKesson, since 2019.

Prior to McKesson, she had multiple roles in GE Healthcare’s legal department, which culminated in a promotion to officer of General Electric and general counsel of GE Healthcare. As general counsel, Laura had responsibility for legal, compliance, clinical research, privacy, and other functions across 120 countries.

Earlier in her career, O’Donnell served as the first CCO at Zimmer Biomet, where she led a global team through various enforcement agreements with the U.S. government.
