The Kroger Company last month named Todd Foley chief accounting officer, the company announced in a securities filing. He replaces Mary Elizabeth Van Oflen, who is retiring.

Foley had been serving as vice president for the retail chain since 2013. Prior to that time, he served as assistant corporate controller from March 2006 to June 2013, and as treasurer from June 2013 to April of this year. Foley began his career with Kroger in 2001 as an audit manager in the internal audit department, after working for PwC as a senor audit manager.
