LifeLock, a provider of proactive identity theft protection services, has named Ignacio Martinez to the newly created role of chief risk officer.

As chief risk officer, Martinez will set the company’s strategic risk management vision and analyze decisions that could affect the company, its business partners, and its customers. He reports to Roy Guthrie, board member and chair of LifeLock’s audit committee, and Todd Davis, LifeLock’s CEO.

With 25 years of experience and expertise in risk management, audit and strategy consulting, Martinez joins LifeLock from Protiviti, a global consulting firm specializing in finance, technology, operations, governance, risk and internal audit, where he was a founding director. Prior to Protiviti, Martinez led client accounts at Arthur Andersen, where he developed the non-attest, risk consulting practice of the firm.
