The MetroHealth System has appointed Cheryl Forino Wahl as its first senior vice president and chief ethics and compliance officer, effective as of July 10. She reports to Chief Executive Officer Akram Boutros.

In this newly created position, Wahl leads the healthcare provider’s ethics and compliance program, ensuring a workplace that complies with all legal and regulatory standards to protect patients, visitors, and employees. She validates that MetroHealth’s policies and practices reflect a culture committed to ethical conduct and make certain employees recognize that compliance is more than following the law, but doing the right thing, the company stated.
