Chocolate companies are in the sights of EU antitrust regulators. Ferrero, maker of Kinder, Ferrero Rocher, and Nutella, has revealed that it was the target of “dawn raids” by the European Commission in two EU member states. The company, which also owns Kellogg, said it was fully cooperating with the authorities.

The European Commission (EC) stated that it had conducted two “unannounced investigations” following suspicions that the Italian confectionery company had violated EU antitrust laws prohibiting cartels and restrictive business practices or abuse of a dominant market position.
