To uncover Americans’ top cybersecurity concerns, CSI partnered with The Harris Poll to survey more than 2,000 U.S. adults age 18 and above about their perceptions, fears and expectations related to cybersecurity.
This executive report delivers key insight into this year’s survey results and a comparison to data from a similar survey conducted on behalf of CSI by The Harris Poll in 2019, exploring how consumers’ cybersecurity perceptions and concerns have shifted.
While it’s no surprise that 85% of consumers reported cybersecurity concerns pertaining to their personal confidential data, it is worth noting that 92% of Americans expressed cybersecurity concerns in 2019.
The decrease in those with cybersecurity concerns related to their personal confidential data could signal that Americans are becoming desensitized to the risk of cybersecurity breaches, indicating that financial institutions have a clear opportunity to deliver strategic cybersecurity education.
This executive report provides a look into consumers’ perceptions on a variety of topics, including payments security, password habits and more.
