Codes of Business Conduct
Back in 2003, the SEC adopted a rule that, among other things, requires a company to disclose whether it has adopted a code of ethics that applies to the company's principal executive officer, principal financial officer, principal accounting officer or controller, or persons performing similar functions. The NYSE and NASDAQ have since adopted related ethics code requirements. Those codes are often hard to find and compare, as they do not have to be filed with the SEC’s EDGAR system. The search engine below was created to help corporate executives understand the types of information included in the codes of their peers.
